Flying Sparrow (one of a kind original)

This piece was created as part of the 2010 Creature Feature show. This year my series was inspired by my inexplicable love of vintage 1960's-1970's graphics in German memory games. This piece was based on a bird from a 1968-70 memory game. It was adapted from a very similar image with a flying bird. The media is Derwent Aquarelle Watercolor pencils on watercolor paper. These have excellent light fastness.

Matted and framed in Ash. The Ash frame is a natural finish blonde/neutral wood that fits in with many decor.
